New Delhi: The hearing of the power struggle in Maharashtra due to the dispute between the Thackeray group and the Shinde group has been delayed once again in the Supreme Court. After the hearing started today in the Supreme Court, the Constitution Bench ordered both the parties to submit their arguments in writing. For this, the Constitution Bench has offered a period of three weeks. Thackeray group and Shinde group will have to submit these documents to the court within this period. After that, the next hearing will be held on November 29. It is likely that the matter will be heard consecutively by the Constitution Bench in the following period. So, till the next hearing, we have to see how Thackeray group and Shinde group will strengthen their legal side.
After today’s hearing, Thackeray group leader Anil Desai interacted with the media. At this time, he said that we are insisting that the matter be heard before the local self-government elections in Maharashtra. Some people are raising doubts that there is deliberate delay in this matter. An explanation was given by the judge today. The outcome of this case is very important from the point of view of democracy. Therefore, it is necessary to do some things properly, said the Constitution Bench.

Justice Dhananjaya Chandrachud, Justice M. R. Shah, Justice Krishna Murari, Justice Hima Kohli and Justice P. Narasimha is included. Hearings on the then Speaker’s notice and challenge to the disqualification proceedings against the 16 MLAs, as well as various subsequent legal disputes, are pending in the Supreme Court. The matter was previously heard in the month of October. The hearing was adjourned till November 1 as there were many holidays later. Therefore, after a break of about one to one and a half months, a hearing was held regarding the issue of power struggle. However, now the hearing of the matter has been postponed for another four weeks.

In the previous hearing, the Constitution Bench had handed over the decision of the Shiv Sena’s party symbol to the Election Commission, giving a shock to the Thackeray group. After the Constitution Bench gave permission, the Central Election Commission had frozen the Shiv Sena name and the bow and arrow party symbol. Therefore, Shiv Sena had to adopt a new symbol, Mashal. As the identity of many years has been erased, now Shiv Sena (Thackeray group) will have a challenge to reach the voters anew.
