BP to Sell All Its Petrol Stations in the Netherlands

AMSTERDAM – BP (NYSE: BP) plans to sell all 310 of its petrol stations in the Netherlands, a spokesman for the British oil and gas company said on Tuesday, confirming a report in Dutch newspaper AD.

BP did not disclose any price expectations but said that the investment needed for growth in the relatively small Dutch market was too high.

Last year, rival Shell (NYSE: SHEL) paid 12.3 million euros ($13.4 million) for a 15-year lease on a prime service station location along the A2 highway between Amsterdam and Utrecht.

BP aims to finalize the sale by the end of 2025, it said.
