Canadian Union and General Motors Reach Tentative Agreement

On Wednesday, Canadian labor union Unifor said it reached a tentative agreement with General Motors (NYSE: GM) for workers at the automakers’ plant in Ingersoll, Ontario.

Both parties had extended a deadline late on Tuesday for reaching a deal, and the Unifor Local 88 had previously said that 97% of its more than 1,300 members were in favor of stopping work at the CAMI plant if a deal was not reached.
