Eu Commission Greenlights Swisscoms Acquisition of Vodafone Italia

GDANSK – The European Commission has approved Swisscom’s acquisition of Vodafone (NASDAQ: VOD) Italia under the foreign subsidies regulation, the Swiss telecoms company said on Tuesday.

The deal is still subject to other regulatory approvals, including that of the Italian competition authority, it added.

Swisscom expects the transaction to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
