My 5 Best Stocks to Buy Now Under $10

My 5 Best Stocks to Buy Now Under

Finding the next major market winner often begins with looking where other investors are not paying attention. In this article, I will share my 5 best stocks to buy now under $10.

A low share price does not automatically make a company inexpensive or undervalued. A stock trading at $8 may represent a promising turnaround, an overlooked growth company, or a struggling business whose price has fallen for good reasons.

Investors must therefore look beyond the price tag and consider market capitalization, earnings, cash flow, debt, competitive position, dividend sustainability, and management’s ability to execute.

As of July 22, 2026, the five companies below were trading for less than $10 per share while maintaining market capitalizations above $1 billion. That separates them from many highly speculative penny stocks, although each still carries meaningful risks.

These selections are not equally safe or suitable for every investor. They represent five different investment cases—growth, conservative income, high yield, industrial recovery, and deep value—each with its own risk profile.

Note: The prices, market capitalizations, and trailing valuation ratios reflect the latest available market data on July 22, 2026. Stock prices can change rapidly, and any of these companies could move above or further below $10.

Why Stocks Under $10 Attract Investors

Stocks below $10 are popular because investors can purchase more whole shares with relatively modest capital. They may also offer substantial percentage gains when an improving company begins recovering from an earlier decline.

For example, a move from $5 to $7.50 represents a 50% gain, even though the dollar increase is only $2.50 per share.

However, the percentage potential works in both directions. A decline from $5 to $2.50 would eliminate half of an investor’s capital.

Share price alone reveals very little about valuation. A $5 stock with billions of shares outstanding may represent a company with a greater total market value than one whose shares trade at $500. Investors should therefore compare market capitalization and per-share financial results rather than focusing only on the share price.

With that distinction in mind, here are five of the best stocks to buy now under $10 for investors willing to accept varying levels of risk.

1. Aveanna Healthcare Holdings

Ticker: AVAH
Recent price: $9.74
Market capitalization: Approximately $2.16 billion
Trailing GAAP P/E ratio: Approximately 8.0

Aveanna Healthcare Holdings (NASDAQ: AVAH) provides private-duty nursing, home health, hospice, medical solutions, and other healthcare services. Aveanna serves more than 80,000 patients across 39 states, with a particular focus on medically complex children, adults, and elderly patients who can receive care at home.

The company delivered a strong start to 2026.

First-quarter revenue increased 15.9% from the previous year to $647.9 million. Net income climbed to $41.7 million from only $5.2 million a year earlier, while adjusted EBITDA increased 25.2% to $84.4 million.

Aveanna strengthened its growth outlook further by completing the acquisition of Family First Homecare in June.

Family First operates 27 locations across seven states and primarily provides private-duty nursing services to pediatric patients. Aveanna paid $175.5 million in cash for the business. Following the acquisition, management increased its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $2.63 billion–$2.65 billion and raised adjusted EBITDA guidance to $338 million–$342 million. The guidance increase incorporated an expected $70 million of revenue and $10 million of adjusted EBITDA from Family First.

Why AVAH Stock Could Keep Rising

An aging population, the need to reduce hospital costs, and the preference of many patients and families to receive care at home are driving demand for home-based healthcare.

Aveanna is also growing revenue and profitability at double-digit rates while expanding through acquisitions. These qualities distinguish it from many companies trading below $10 because AVAH is not simply waiting for a turnaround—its underlying operations are already improving.

The Biggest Risks

Aveanna’s shares are now close to the $10 threshold, and although its trailing GAAP P/E is approximately 8, a $118.1 million tax benefit in 2025 makes that multiple less representative of its underlying earnings.

The company also carries substantial debt and depends heavily on reimbursement from Medicaid, Medicare, managed-care organizations, and private insurers. Changes in reimbursement rates, labor shortages, higher caregiver wages, or difficulties integrating recent acquisitions could weaken profitability.

Bottom line: Aveanna is arguably the strongest growth company among these five stocks, but investors should evaluate its valuation using normalized earnings rather than tax-boosted GAAP profits.

2. Capitol Federal Financial

Ticker: CFFN
Recent price: $8.60
Market capitalization: Approximately $1.09 billion
Trailing P/E ratio: Approximately 14.3
Annualized dividend: $0.34 per share
Estimated dividend yield: Approximately 4.0%

Capitol Federal Financial (NASDAQ: CFFN) is a more conservative option for investors seeking a combination of income, improving profitability, and exposure to the banking sector.

The company is the holding company for Capitol Federal Savings Bank, which operates 46 branches in Kansas and Missouri and is one of Kansas’s largest residential mortgage lenders. Management is gradually transforming the institution into a more diversified consumer and commercial bank.

Capitol Federal reported net income of $20.1 million, or $0.16 per share, for its fiscal second quarter ended March 31, 2026.

Net interest income increased to $52.3 million, marking the seventh consecutive quarter of growth. Net interest margin improved by five basis points to 2.24%, while the efficiency ratio strengthened to 52.45% from 53.66% in the previous quarter.

Commercial loans reached $2.32 billion, representing 29% of the overall loan portfolio. Commercial deposits increased to $548.1 million as the bank continued diversifying beyond its traditional residential mortgage business.

CFFN Offers a Regular Dividend

Capitol Federal pays a regular quarterly dividend of $0.085 per share, equal to $0.34 annually. At a share price of $8.60, the regular payout yields approximately 4%.

The company also paid a special dividend of $0.04 per share in January 2026 and repurchased more than three million shares between January 1 and April 22 at an average price of $7.27.

Why CFFN Could Perform Well

Lower funding costs, continued expansion of net interest margin, commercial loan growth, and share repurchases could support higher earnings per share.

Capitol Federal also had a tangible book value of $7.96 per share at the end of March. With the stock trading at $8.60, investors are paying only a modest premium to tangible book value.

The Biggest Risks

Capitol Federal remains sensitive to interest rates due to its significant residential mortgage exposure. Its expansion into commercial lending could improve returns, but it also introduces additional credit risk.

The bank established a $4 million specific valuation allowance related to one nonaccrual commercial lending relationship during the latest reported quarter. Investors should watch whether this remains an isolated issue.

Capitol Federal is scheduled to report its fiscal third-quarter results on July 29, which could provide the next major catalyst for CFFN stock.

Bottom line: CFFN is one of the more conservative stocks on this list, offering a moderate dividend and improving banking fundamentals.

3. Rithm Capital

Ticker: RITM
Recent price: $9.15
Market capitalization: Approximately $5.18 billion
Trailing P/E ratio: Approximately 8.4
Annualized dividend: $1 per share
Estimated dividend yield: Approximately 10.9%

Rithm Capital (NYSE: RITM) is the largest company on the list by market capitalization and offers one of the group’s highest dividend yields.

The company operates across mortgage origination and servicing, residential lending, commercial real estate, asset management, and alternative investments. Rithm’s investment-management platform had approximately $59 billion in assets under management at the end of March 2026.

Rithm reported first-quarter GAAP net income of $67.8 million, or $0.12 per diluted share. Earnings available for distribution reached $289.6 million, or $0.51 per share.

The company ended the quarter with a book value of $12.51 per common share. That compares with a recent stock price of $9.15, meaning RITM trades at approximately 73% of its reported book value.

Rithm declared a second-quarter dividend of $0.25 per common share, maintaining an annualized payout of $1. At the latest price, the stock yields approximately 10.9%.

Why RITM Stock Looks Attractive

Rithm’s first-quarter earnings available for distribution, a non-GAAP measure, were $0.51 per share, more than twice its $0.25 quarterly common dividend.

The discount to book value could also provide upside if investors become more confident in the quality of Rithm’s assets and the sustainability of its earnings.

Its operating businesses include Newrez, Genesis Capital, Sculptor Capital Management, and a growing commercial real estate platform. Newrez produced a 19% annualized operating return on equity during the first quarter, while Rithm’s asset-management operations continued attracting capital.

The Biggest Risks

A yield approaching 11% should never be treated as risk-free.

Rithm remains exposed to interest rates, mortgage-market activity, credit conditions, real estate valuations, and funding costs. Its acquisition of Paramount Group also added exposure to major office properties in New York and San Francisco. The acquired portfolio includes 13 owned and 4 managed properties, totaling more than 13 million square feet.

Office real estate could recover as leasing activity improves, but it remains one of the more uncertain areas of the property market.

Bottom line: RITM may be the most attractive income stock in this group, but investors must accept considerable mortgage and real estate exposure.

4. Dauch Corporation

Ticker: DCH
Recent price: $5.52
Market capitalization: Approximately $1.31 billion
Trailing P/E ratio: Not meaningful because the company reported a trailing loss

Dauch Corporation (NYSE: DCH) is the most speculative industrial turnaround on this list.

Dauch Corporation is the successor to American Axle & Manufacturing, a company founded in 1994. American Axle adopted the Dauch name in January 2026 and completed its combination with Dowlais Group in February, significantly expanding its global driveline and metal-forming operations.

The combined company operates more than 175 locations across 24 countries. It supplies driveline and metal-forming technologies for electric, hybrid, and internal-combustion vehicles.

First-Quarter Results Were Mixed

Dauch generated first-quarter 2026 sales of $2.38 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $308.5 million, representing a 13% adjusted EBITDA margin.

However, the company reported a GAAP net loss of $100.3 million, or $0.52 per share. Adjusted earnings were $0.34 per share, and adjusted free cash flow was negative $40.8 million.

Because Dauch reported a trailing GAAP loss, a conventional trailing P/E ratio is not meaningful.

Why DCH Stock Could Recover

The Dowlais acquisition created a much larger automotive supplier with broader geographic reach and a product portfolio spanning conventional, hybrid, and electric powertrains.

Successful integration could produce cost savings, stronger customer relationships, and improved cash flow. The company’s powertrain-agnostic portfolio also reduces its dependence on a single vehicle technology.

The Biggest Risks

Dauch must integrate a major global acquisition while operating in a highly cyclical automotive industry. The company’s results depend heavily on vehicle production, customer demand, raw material prices, tariffs, labor costs, and its ability to control debt.

Labor relations are another risk. About 1,000 workers at Dauch’s Three Rivers, Michigan, plant went on strike for 10 days in June before the company reached a new agreement with the UAW. The wage increases included in the agreement could raise operating costs, while any future labor disruption could interrupt production and affect deliveries to customers.

The first-quarter GAAP loss and negative adjusted free cash flow also show that the turnaround is not yet complete. Dauch must successfully combine the acquired businesses, reduce costs, improve cash generation, and avoid major production disruptions for the investment case to succeed.

Bottom line: DCH offers substantial turnaround potential, but it carries the greatest near-term integration and execution risk on this list. Its recovery depends on stronger cash flow, stable vehicle demand, effective cost control, and the successful integration of Dowlais.

5. Western Union

Ticker: WU
Recent price: $8.47
Market capitalization: Approximately $2.68 billion
Trailing P/E ratio: Approximately 6.2
Annualized dividend: $0.94 per share
Estimated dividend yield: Approximately 11.1%

Western Union (NYSE: WU) is the deepest traditional value stock on the list.

Founded in 1851, the company provides consumer money transfers, digital payments, foreign-exchange services, and other cross-border financial products.

Its global brand and extensive agent network remain valuable. However, the company faces intense competition from digital payment platforms, financial technology companies, banks, stablecoins, and mobile-first money transfer services.

Western Union’s Latest Results Were Uneven

First-quarter revenue was approximately $983 million, roughly unchanged from the previous year. Consumer Services revenue increased 24%. Meanwhile, Branded Digital revenue rose 9%, and digital transactions increased 21%.

However, Consumer Money Transfer revenue declined 3%, and adjusted earnings fell to $0.25 per share from $0.41 a year earlier. Adjusted operating margin also dropped to 13% from 19%.

Management maintained its 2026 outlook for adjusted revenue growth of 6% to 9% and adjusted earnings of between $1.75 and $1.85 per share. That forecast assumes the company completes its proposed acquisition of International Money Express (NASDAQ: IMXI), better known as Intermex.

As of the company’s June 24 update, the Intermex transaction was still awaiting a remaining regulatory approval, leaving open the possibility that the timing delay could affect the forecast.

WU’s Dividend Is the Main Attraction

Western Union pays a quarterly dividend of $0.235 per share, producing an annualized payout of $0.94. With the stock trading at $8.47, the dividend yield is approximately 11.1%.

The annual payout represents approximately 52% of the midpoint of Western Union’s adjusted 2026 earnings guidance. This suggests that the dividend remains manageable if management achieves its forecast.

The Biggest Risks

Western Union’s traditional retail money-transfer operation continues facing structural pressure.

The company must successfully expand its digital business, integrate acquisitions, comply with regulatory requirements, and compete with faster, lower-cost payment services.

A double-digit yield indicates that investors are demanding substantial compensation for these risks. The dividend could provide significant income, but a declining share price can easily offset several years of payments.

Western Union will report its second-quarter results on July 30, making that release the next major test for the turnaround.

Bottom line: WU offers the highest estimated dividend yield on the list and trades at a low earnings multiple, but it faces the greatest long-term risk of business-model disruption as digital payment alternatives continue expanding.

How Investors Should Evaluate Stocks Under $10

Buying a low-priced stock requires more than checking whether its shares cost less than $10.

Financial Strength Matters More Than Share Price

Investors should examine:

  • Revenue and earnings trends
  • Operating and free cash flow
  • Debt and interest expenses
  • Profit margins
  • Share dilution
  • Dividend coverage
  • Management’s financial guidance

A company whose share price is low due to temporary problems may present an opportunity. A company with a permanently deteriorating business may continue to become cheaper.

Understand the Investment Thesis

Each stock on this list represents a different type of opportunity:

  • Aveanna Healthcare: Growth and healthcare demand
  • Capitol Federal: Improving bank profitability and moderate income
  • Rithm Capital: High income and a discount to book value
  • Dauch Corporation: Acquisition-driven industrial turnaround
  • Western Union: Deep value and a high-yield transformation story

Investors should choose the risk type that matches their objectives rather than assuming all stocks below $10 behave similarly.

Watch Upcoming Catalysts

Quarterly earnings, acquisition updates, changes to financial guidance, dividend announcements, and debt refinancing can produce significant price movements.

This is especially important for CFFN, RITM, and WU, which are scheduled to report new quarterly results before the end of July.

Advantages of Investing in Stocks Under $10

The strongest potential benefits include:

Large percentage-return potential: Even relatively small dollar moves can create meaningful percentage gains.

Turnaround opportunities: Some stocks fall below $10 after investors temporarily lose confidence in the underlying business.

Income potential: RITM, WU, and CFFN offer yields that are considerably higher than those of many large growth stocks.

Sector diversification: This group provides exposure to healthcare, banking, asset management, automotive manufacturing, and international payments.

Risks of Investing in Stocks Under $10

Higher volatility: Lower-priced shares can experience sharp percentage moves in either direction.

Weak fundamentals: A company may trade below $10 because its earnings, balance sheet, or industry outlook has deteriorated.

Dividend cuts: An unusually high yield can signal that investors expect the payout to become difficult to maintain.

Dilution: Companies with weak balance sheets may issue additional shares, reducing the ownership percentage of existing investors.

Turnaround failures: Cost reductions, acquisitions, and new business strategies do not always deliver the benefits they promise.

Which Stock Under $10 Looks Best?

There is no single stock that will suit every investor.

Aveanna Healthcare offers the strongest recent growth, but its reported trailing P/E is distorted by a significant 2025 tax benefit. Investors should therefore evaluate the company using normalized earnings rather than relying on its headline multiple.

Capitol Federal appears to offer the most conservative balance of attractive valuation, operational improvement, and dividend income.

Rithm Capital provides the strongest combination of current earnings and a high dividend, although its mortgage and real estate exposure increases risk.

Dauch offers significant recovery potential, but investors must contend with integration challenges, GAAP losses, and cyclical automotive demand.

Western Union trades at the lowest positive P/E ratio and offers the highest estimated yield, but its traditional business continues facing long-term disruption.

End Note

The 5 best stocks to buy now under $10 are not necessarily the companies with the lowest share prices.

Aveanna Healthcare, Capitol Federal Financial, Rithm Capital, Dauch Corporation, and Western Union each offer a different combination of growth, income, valuation, and turnaround potential.

Among the five, Aveanna looks strongest for growth, Capitol Federal offers the more conservative setup, and Rithm provides the most compelling income opportunity based on current earnings coverage.

Dauch and Western Union may deliver substantial gains if their turnaround strategies succeed. However, Dauch carries considerable acquisition-integration and cyclical risks, while Western Union faces longer-term competitive and business-model disruption.

Investors should look beyond the price tag and evaluate the underlying company, its balance sheet, its competitive position, and the likelihood that management can deliver sustainable results.
