US Auto Safety Agency Launches Investigation Into Fatal Tesla Cybertruck Crash

On Monday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it is seeking more information about an accident involving Tesla’s Cybertruck.

The driver of the electric pickup truck was declared dead as a result of the accident in Texas’s Chambers County, according to media reports.

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) and the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.

In November 2023, the automaker began delivering the “Blade Runner”-inspired truck after years of delay and a difficult production ramp-up. “We dug our own grave with Cybertruck,” Musk said about the vehicle.

The NHTSA said Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has issued four recalls for its 2024 Cybertruck.
