TURIN – Stellantis (NYSE: STLA) decision to rejoin the European auto lobby ACEA means the carmaker will immediately align itself with the group’s proposals, Stellantis’ Europe Chief Jean-Philippe Imparato said on Thursday.
Last week, Stellantis said it would rejoin ACEA, which it left at the beginning of 2023.
Under Chief Executive Carlos Tavares, who resigned earlier this month, the group previously opposed a call by ACEA for relief on EU 2025 intermediate carbon reduction targets, which could cost to the auto industry billions.
